Payroll Administrator
Job Purpose:
Performs a range of duties relating to the preparation, calculation & processing of salaries & fringe payments. Ensures all actions are conducted in accordance with defined procedures & any decisions incorporate the best interest of the employee & Company whilst complying with all fiscal & social legislation.
Key Accountabilities:
- Creates and maintains accurate & timely employee records in accordance with locally defined standards. Follows through with relevant departments & external Companies & Authorities to validate the integrity of specific information used/supplied.
- Performs defined duties to support the legal, accurate & timely processing of complex & diverse salary payments (ex-pat, contract type, retro-active payments, multiple premia, CLA specific items, type of leave, etc) & fringe benefits (cars, meal allowance, travel housing etc). Includes complying with locally defined requirements (including relevant tax & social legislation) whilst collating & validating information, inputting data , reviewing output etc. Resolves routine queries, ensuring solutions are legal and in the best interests of the Company & employee and recommends & implements agreed solutions to more complex issues.
- Performs assigned duties to support the processing of payments related to special payment or incentive schemes (statutory or company profit share, pension or savings plan, tax effective pay etc).
- Supports the internal & external payroll audit process by preparing routine & accurate information on assigned subjects, as required.
- Develops and maintains a good knowledge of local country payroll related legislation (tax, social security etc) and of payroll methodologies & practices (CLA, labour laws, competitor approach, trends etc). Applies knowledge in day to day transactions.
- Informs management of specific payroll requirements & escalates ant compliance issues. Deals with management & employee questions/issues correctly and in an appropriate timeframe.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in Payroll Administration Field
- Good knowledge of the confidentiality of different types of data and of the audience the data can be shared with
- Fluent in English
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Good problem solving skills with experience of resolving routine payroll issues
- Good planning & self organising skills
- Good knowledge of a computerised payroll system
- Good P.C skills including competent in Excel (& use of the Internet)
- Methodical & accurate with experience of performing procedural checks on complex data
