Job Description:
Purpose of Role:
Under the supervision of the Team Supervisor, the Conversion Analyst is responsible for the preparation, conversion & parallel accounting schedules for new business integrations and internal fund reorganisations.
Conversion Analyst must contribute to the team on technical matters, as well as providing leadership and direction to the team members, in both quality of service and communication with internal clients and other supporting departments. Achieving quality of service is a team effort and the Conversion Analyst needs to function at all times as a team player and ensure that other members of the team do so too.
Experienced Conversion Analyst provides a key role in training and developing the newer members of the team. They are expected to be available to provide an immediate point of reference for queries and to provide on the job training to less experienced staff.
Specific Duties:
General RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibility of the Conversion Analyst is the accurate and timely conversion of funds to MCH. Additionally, ensuring all client deliverables i.e. parallels are completed to specified standard.
Understanding engagement objectives, scope and expectations; contributing to development of work plans for components of engagements.
Coordinates preparation of internal and external reports through gathering, analyzing and summarizing data and information from the departments.
Liaising with other internal clients and supporting departments for the purpose of obtaining key inputs to service delivery, resolving errors and discrepancies.
Performing special projects and other tasks as assigned by the Team Supervisor.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of conversion accounting, upload and parallel reconciliation schedules.
Reconciliation of MCH to Client Accounting System.
Setting up of Funds on MCH, NavAlert, etc.
Setting up, booking and reconciling the security portfolio on MCH.
Assisting in the development of new procedure and technology.
Investigating and querying testing data and results.
Working closely with the fund group and client during fund launch.
Non-technical RESPONSIBILITIES
COMMUNICATION
Providing timely and professional responses to all enquiries.
Keeping Team Supervisor informed as to the daily work progress and status of requests.
Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with internal clients and colleagues.

Demonstrating good time organizational skills in order to meet deadlines.
Maintaining systematic filing practices.
Adhering to clean desk policy and record keeping.
Ensuring that daily work load is allocated appropriately.
TRAINING AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Providing direction and training to staff in the course of their day-to-day work.
Training less experienced staff in fund and bank procedures and processes, and providing guidance and an adequate source of help for questions.
Actively participating in the development of new hires in the team. Supporting and guiding them in the knowledge of all technical aspects of the work, as well as in their work organization.
Identifying training needs within the team and ensuring that those needs are met.
Taking responsibility for own personal development and training.
Qualifications:
Specific Qualifications / Skills:
Numeracy / Literacy skills
MCH skills to a very high level are essential.
PC literate with Excel skills to proficient level.
Strong understanding of State Street processes across departments.
A thorough understanding of fund administration is required.
Ability to work as a team player.
Flexible and positive attitude. Must be enthusiastic, innovative, self-motivated and capable of working under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
Excellent English.
