LGBS in Cracow started in 2003 as Airline Accounting Center and currently employs over 800 professionals dedicated to providing outstanding results for an increasing! range of services and customers. Junior Data Engineer

Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree or equivalent
Fluent in English, German a plus
Previous work experience with Data Preparation/ SQL (e.g. Internship/project)
Data Analysis and Profiling
Analytical skills
Self-driven and fast learner, eager to work with new technologies
Good communication skills and ability to work in cross cultural environments
Deep interest in underlying foundational data, data warehouses, and business intelligence systems
Experience in relational and unstructured data environments is a plus (including some/many of the following: NoSQL, Spark, Snowflake, Star, Storm)
ETL, HPFS, Hadoop, and Hive experience is a plus
Knowledge in Database Theory is a plus

Responsibilities:
Prepares Data for Analytical Purposes
Responsible for consistency and clarity of definition of data across the company or Lines of Business if there are several Data Stewards. Co-ordinates and executes, jointly with Data Owners, the needed processes and governance procedures to accurately define and ensure Data Quality for each data domain necessary to support the area he is of responsibility for
Identifies issues and recommends initiatives to address data quality and data integrity
Supports the Data Governor Owner for meta data management
Defines, jointly with Lines of Business: Business Definitions, Data Definitions, Data Quality Standards (and associated measures), meta data, data availability requirements (data freshness)
Responsible for definition, utilization and monitoring of data quality management mechanism/tools
Updates directories with business and technical metadata definitions.
Measures data KPIs on a periodical basis
Represents the data owner in data governance council meetings and implements changes to data management processes in collaboration with the Data Owner
