university degree in finance/banking/economy or equivalent
excellent knowledge of English, both written and verbal
excellent understanding of full front to back setup within investment banking (systems, processes, functions)
have demonstrated a proven ability to identify and resolve issues with minimum supervision
committed to get things done, achieve targets and meet deadlines
active appreciation of general Financial control concepts / requirements
strong technical skills (Excel, M&IB and the Group systems)
desirable VBA and/or SQL skills
product control experience within a bank would be an advantage
communicative


daily calculation and reporting of Profit & Loss and/or Balance Sheet statements for respective trading desks, including reconciliation, analytical review, driver analysis
ensuring that the month end numbers agree to the sum of the daily P&L or provide meaningful explanations
close liaison with the Front Office to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of queries and provision of other ad-hoc business support
monthly Balance Sheet Substantiation and control
ensuring that team provides accurate and timely service for specific unit whilst ensuring all outputs are validated and delivered in accordance with SLAs
work proactively with all the internal and external stakeholders resolve any issues around the process performed
identify improvements in the processes to obtain efficiencies and improve key controls
expert advice on accounting & prudential matters
resolve all non-standard queries around processes performed
