This global companys shared service centre located in Katowice is a rapidly growing organisation with stable employment conditions. Due to change in finance department structure a new role of Financial Services Manager has been created.

Your new role

The role will involve taking primary responsibility for presentation of divisions financial performance and position. It will require an in-depth commercial understanding of the business and will be in charge of coordinating the divisions accounting and reporting.

Your main responsibilities will include supervising the preparation of monthly management accounts as well as the completion of variance analysis and commentary highlighting areas of concerns, adverse trends or issues that may impact the business. You will ensure the balance sheet is reconciled and controlled effectively through monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations. The role will involve taking a proactive approach to reporting, system and process improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in global finance function. Your duties will also include manage monthly submission to parent company. You will liaise with the external auditors and management of the audit process to agreed standards and time lines. You will manage the team of approx. 8 people responsible for all processes within the team: General Ledger, Order to Cash and Credit Control.

What you'll need to succeed

Your solid knowledge of accounting processes and controls will lead you to your success. You have ca. 5 years of related professional experience (as Independent Accountant / Deputy Chief Accountant / Financial Controller / Big 4 Auditor or similar). You have advanced spreadsheet skills, you might also have experience in using ERP systems. You speak English fluently, so you will be able to easily communicate in an international environment.
