E-Procurement Buyer

Purpose of the role:
Implement the Strategic Sourcing Cycle with the use of e-procurement tools
Support the integration and harmonization of e-procurement strategies across the group

Accountabilities:
Manages multiple e-procurement processes and technologies to support the strategic sourcing cycle
Recommends and implements new streamlined techniques and processes to improve productivity and efficiency
Resolves broad and complex issues that involve e-procurement processes and systems
Serves an expert in providing guidance to end users of e-procurement systems in a broad array of transactions, problem resolution and customer support
Implement simple and clear metrics for governance and success measurement, and performance manage of achievement
Incorporate and embed the use of E-Procurement technology (e-tendering, e-auction, e-award, e-contract register) into all appropriate procurement activities
Leads on E-Procurement projects to drive continuous improvement for the group as delegated by the E-Procurement Lead
Teaches e-procurement processes to end users as required

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Qualifications:
Degree and/or the ability to demonstrate knowledge of working in an international e-procurement environment

Skills:
Business and financial acumen
Ability to write clear, concise management reports and presentations
Ability to influence, align diverse views and gain consensus, providing clarity and direction on what is to be achieved and break down barriers that get in way of effective team working.
Ability to prioritise and maintain clear focus in constant ambiguity and change
Ability to operate effectively in an environment with tight deadlines and finite resource and uncertainty.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders
Commitment to service excellence and process improvement
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written and spoken English
Working knowledge of the languages of the countries of our operating companies is an asset: working knowledge of Spanish is particularly important

Experience:
Experience using e-technology in all aspects of the supply chain
Demonstrated experience in a procurement buying role or the mind set required to effectively procure products and services
Able to identify opportunities where e-procurement systems can be developed to improve efficiencies of supply chain activities
Experience managing teams
Up to date with current e-procurement technology and best practice
