For our Client, one of the largest and oldest US-based financial institutions, operating more than 230 years and conducting their operations in 100 markets and 35 countries, we are searching for experienced individual that is willing to develop within the Transfer Agency. The aim of the Transfer Agency Department is to maintain high quality transfer agency service levels to clients in accordance with the service level agreements (SLAs) with zero complaints and no major issues arising.
Your new role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for all day to day dealing and registration operations for funds of various clients and provides direct input to the development of the transfer agency relationship with such clients. The Assistant Manager is expected to attend and contribute to client and operational meetings. The main duties include developing and retaining strong understanding of full transfer agency operational processes for clients including technical requirements, cash movement and reconciliation and transfer agency fee billing, management information system (MIS) and all transfer agency obligations set out in the client's SLA. Ensuring your time is allocated proportionally across all clients bearing in mind their importance in terms of priority to BNY Mellon is also a key aspect of the role. Additionally, coordinating the transfer agency functions required for new fund launches or changes to current fund structures for your clients is inevitable. This will include attending conference calls and coordinating with your Supervisors on any testing requirements and documenting and implementing of new agreed procedures and updating of operational checklists. Finally, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with your clients, ensuring communication is coordinated across locations and with client services as required will be essential.
What you'll need to succeed
The desired candidate should be proactive- focused attitude towards work and an ability to consistently meet deadlines is essential. Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and meeting the deadlines is also a required ability. The leadership and reporting skills followed by the enthusiasm to set and achieve goals. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and technical operations will be required. The preferred candidate has academic qualification in a business related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience within a corporate environment- banking area is preferred.
